    No important, but interesting news:

'The two new Cottbus players Paulo Rink and Gregg Berhalter are financed by sponsors. Energie-GM Klaus Stabach confessed that in a Sport Bild interview. "Until christmas we'll have found a sponsor for Rink and Berhalter". Additionally Cottbus hopes to sell Vilmos Sebök, Brasilia and Hamid Termina. "We'd save further 500 K with their salaries".

Paulo Rink and Gregg Berhalter get 400 K basic salary each. This sum is not included in Cottbus 21M budget. "Cottbus got the license without major problems. If they invest more than they wanted, then they got to prove to have additional income", said Heribert Bruchhagen of DFL.'

Very interesting. And this is why GB isn't playing in the MLS. $400K is a nice chunk of change.

I'd bet that Klaus is probably discussing his salary in Euros not $.

Not much difference in conversion, around $392,000.

This also sounds like how MLS supplements the salaries of big-name players over and above the top cap figure
