Game starts at 17:30 CET, whenever that may be. I'm guessing 8:30 PT. Berhalter is expected to start, Casey should be on the bench. Cherundolo is out for yellow cards.
In the previous meeting Cottbus won 3-1 at Hannover. Big game for Cottbus as it will tie them with Leverkusen at the top of the drop zone. Here's the stadium, they seem to have new stadium on the drawing board. This one looks a bit grim. I suppose a lot depends on staying up this year.
Sounds like Cottbus has a little bit better of the play and missed a couple of chances at the end of the half.
54th minute Hannover gets their first shot on goal. But it leads to an immediate chance for Cottbus who head into the arms of the keeper.
Latoundji gives up a foul to Hannover 25 meters out and earns a yellow card. Hannover shoot over. 62nd minute - nice pass (sugar passport) to Bobic but comes to nothing. 64th minute more poor shooting from Energie
66th minute still 0-0. Stajner of Hannover sees Gelbe. Cottbus should be winning according to text tracker - poor finishing is letting them down.
3 Cottbus players carrying yellow cards. Cottbus breathe sigh of relief after Hannover hit the post. 74th minute Da Silva scores
This time it's Reghecampf who scores. Topic with a dummy (I think) on the cross which Reghecampf finishes easily at the far post
Are we sure this is really Cottbus? Its amazing that a team could be that bad before the break and this good after.
Before the Break 2 wins 5 draws 10 losses with 14 goals for and 34 goals against After Break 3 wins 1 draw with 8 goals for 1 against 3-0 Leverkusen 2-1 Bochum 0-0 Hansa Rostock 3-0 Hannover This is a mighty fine run and leaves the 3 Yank sides and Leverkusen all battling right on top of the drop zone. Don't mind seeing Dolo's side give up a few when he's not in the lineup either. 8)
So far, Cottbus is, step-by-step, emulating St. Paul's rise off the bottom last year... I got a feeling that's its going to get harder, how Cottbus reacts to their 1st tough loss or two will be key....however, I would be the first to enjoy seeing Cottbus up/Leverkusen down at the end of season....maybe wonderboy Landon goes back, and "saves" Leverkusen in a couple years-g
