Great news for us but why did Pompey let him go?

To buy Jermain Defoe, a young replacement for Benjani?

Benjani looks as though he'll make his debut appearance for the Derby match, what an induction. :D

Can someone start the Derby thread, I started the Arsenal thread and we lost! ;)

Wow. This is craziness. Benjani is in 3rd place for top goalscorers and I honestly think our forward problem is beginning to really look up. We have been entirely dependent on our midfield and defense while continuing to contend for a European place and I think Benjani might actually be a key to help us break through to the 4th place spot (which would be amazing, considering we were 14th only about 9 months ago.)

I have to say kudos to Sven, this was a class signing and I know it.

Hopefully we can keep a perfect derby record this season so I and all the other faithful citizens can rub it in ManU's fat, ugly face.

I pray to the football gods to watch over Benjani in this game, and pray to come away with a win (I will have a very very good week if it happens).

    This is exciting.
