http://espn.go.com/nfl/columns/pasquarelli_len/1492707.html I believe this is only the second time in team history that the Bengals have gone to an outsider as coach. Every other head coach has either coached or played for the team in the past. Forrest Gregg was the other exception.
Poor Marvin Lewis. Poor, poor Marvin Lewis. On the other hand, Mike Mularkey should feel like he just won the lottery.
Marvin is a fool. His FIRST head coaching gig, and it has to be with the worst professional franchise east of the LA Clippers. He can't possibly succeed with Mike Brown continually ************ing things up with that pitiful scouting department and with him acting as GM. I feel sorry for the guy. He'll fail, and it won't necessarily be his fault.
As a Steelers fan, I'm glad Mularkey didn't go anywhere (so far). I hope Rooney pays him enough to stay as offensive coordinator. I have to wonder who's going to be QB next season - Kordell is gone, but I don't think Maddox is necessarily the answer.
