    Benfica-Inter [R]

Played to a 0-0 draw in Lisbon. That puts quite a bit of pressure on our defense in the return leg. One away goal would probably be enough to doom us. Did anyone watch this match, how did Inter look?

I only read about the game in today's Gazzetta. Inter was outplayed and needed 3 saves (two in successinon from TOldo at the end of the match) to keep the draw. Zac changed his usual 3-4-3 to a more conservative 3-5-2. Inter has alot of troubles that could become worse......they are considering Terim to coach next season....so not only will they lose alot but they will also play in an empty stadium.

They are also considering Mancini, Cuper, and Trap. I really hope Inter don't bring in Terim. I think a healthy Inter squad with 1 or 2 additions could do great things and have a turnaround much like Roma from last year to this year. All we need is a center back and defensive midfielder and give the rest of the team a chance to gel and we should be fine. We have a solid defense when healthy and with Emre, Stankovic, Martins, and Adriano we a young group of attacking players who could do great things.

Inter need a coach that can unify the players. Personally I think that they should have brought in Mazzone (not because he is my favorite) a few years ago just to set the ship right......then brought in a coach that knows how to challenge for the scudetto. They need a coach that can handle big egos, not add to the big egos. The biggest problem is that the players don't care at all about the black and blue shirts that they wear. They are also neglecting their youth players by only buying super stars. They have a very good youth system and they should look to it.

I would have to agree with your last statement. The team has no chemistry at all and instead of letting the team train togerther in the offseason Moratti reshuffles the team each and every season. The youth team is 1st in the standings and Eliakwu has 31 goals in 29 matches. I hope to see Eliakwu with the big team soon, I think he has more potential than Oba Martins.
