Benfica is getting all of the calls from the referee's.

Might as well give them the championship already.

The refs make up calls as the game goes along.

When you play Benfica it is 11 against 14!!!

We have gotten our share of calls in the past. The players just need to deal with it on the pitch.

When Simao scores more than 15 penalties in a season ala Jardel then you can complain!

I'm not complaining, I'm just stating the truth.

Benficistas were complaining at all times last year in regards to this issue, so now you know how it feels.

It feels great. We're in first place. And the refs are finally giving us the calls they missed most of last season!

    You miss the point.
Sporting last year was the better team throughout the year, but you guys always used the penalties aginst Sporting. Penalties had nothing to do with it. Sporting was just the better team.
Even though Benficistas had a VERY hard time accepting that.

Benfica is a much better team so far than Sporting and penalties should have nothing to do with it.
But if penalties were brought up last year, why shouldn't it be brought upo again.

You guys gave us NO RESPECT last year, so don't expect it here from me.

Let me know how many he has when the season is over...right now pace is meaningless.

But some teams get penalty calls while others are getting the non penalty calls inside their box! Is there a difference?

Sporting has nothing going there way this year, so I know you are speaking of another team.

You are correct. Even if Sporting caught some of the breaks they had last year I don't think it's enough to help this year. They are just decimated. Ashame really. I wanted them to do well in Europe.

If Sporting had half of the breaks Benfica had this year alone, we would also be in first place. And why keep on bringing up last year. We were the Champs.
Alot of soccer to be played this year.
They are a very different and young team.
And when it comes to Europe, still waiting for Benfica to help out Portugal's rankings. Pittiful really, that such a big club can't help out and the last several years.

Again you guys give Sporting's team from last year no respect.
    Ridiculous!!!

You missed my point. Even if Sporting would have gotten 4 penalties, they still couldn't have beaten Pacos in one game. They are decimated. The midfield is in shambles and you have no one to create up front. That is the point I was trying to make.

And it has nothing to do with respect. You guys were worthy Champs last year, but you had plenty of calls go your way, just like Benfica so far this year!

I understand your point and glad to see that you agree that Benfica has had PLENTY of calls go there way this year.

And just to let you know, if Benfica didn't have PLENTY of calls go there way this year, they would never have beaten Moreirense and you never know what would have happened in the game vs U. Leiria.
And then Benfica would not be in first place!!!

You're harping on the same thing. The same applies to your team last season. If Jardel and JVP didn't come up with timely phantom penalty dives last season what's it to say Boavista wouldn't have been Champion!

And if Belenenses and Boavista would have received their due penalties, Porto wouldn't be in second!

    It's the domino effect!

Benfica are not a good team . When the refs stop giving us these great calls . You will see this mediocre team. I hope i am wrong because i am a Benifiquista.

This the year guys. Nothing is going to slow this team down, sure they will have some bumps in the road. I can't even believe I'm posting anything under this topic. Sporting supporters should take their index finger and put it over their lips. Shame on you for crying about penalties when that is how you won it last year. Simao is the best player in Portugal right now deal with it. Benfica is the best club team right now. Porto have a very steady nucleus of players.Sporting and Boavista need to improve quickly if they don't want to be down by 8 or more points by the winter break. 4th week of the season and Sporting is crying about penalties. WOW. You would need 7 phanton penalty calls go your way if you wanted to be tied for 1st place. BTY= Benfica This Year!!

The reason I mentioned this @&^*&%^% is because you guys mentioned it all of last year against Sporting.
Benficistas gave us no respect last year.
All you guys did last year was CRY about penalty calls!!!
I also said Simao was the best player at this time, so what is your point.

So now I mention it and it touches some nerves.
Benfica has a very good team, but if it's not Sporting winning it let it be anyone else but Benfica!!!
Now you take your thumb and stick it #^%#^%$!!!!!
