All three Israelis have had a taste of pre-season football for their clubs in friendlies. I cannot see Tal getting much, if any, match time for Manchester City with the arrival of Toure and the fact that he is way down the pecking order. Benayoun had a great second half of last season and should be pretty competitive for Liverpool's starting XI. Tamir Cohen missed a lot of last season with an injury, and hopefully should get more playing time.

Re: Benayoun, Ben Haim, Cohen: English Premier League [R], 2009/10

    FC Eindhoven 2-2 Bolton Wanderers

Last night, Tamir Cohen was heavily involved in Bolton's match. He won the penalty that was converted just before half time, before scoring a goal himself in the 78th minute. But in typical Tamir Cohen fashion, he was red carded for a mistimed challenge in the last minute of the match.

Yossi Benayoun's Liverpool will face Ben Sahar's Espanyol tomorrow night.

Oh... and Ben Sahar scored twice in Espagnol's pre-season win over Liverpool's Benayoun.

    Atlético Madrid 2-1 Liverpool F.C.

Yossi Benayoun went 80 minutes for the Merseysiders. They have not impressed though this entire preseason.

    Manchester City F.C. 2-1 Celtic F.C.
    Fulltime

Tal Ben-Haim came on in the 18th minute and finished the match for Kolo Toure. I hope that this will be Ben-Haim's last match for City. We can't have our national team players sitting on benches.

I didn't even realize that Ben Haim was still at City, I thought he had gone to Sunderland but too bad it was only a loan. Either way he was to get out of there as fast as possible.

I can't find video of it, but I was watching Soccer AM this morning and for the teammates interview, SWP and Wayne Bridge from Man City were interviewed about which one of their teammates does this and that.

Guess who they picked as "worst trainer" as in the laziest: Our own Tal Ben Haim. I hope it's not true!

    Re: Results

Benayoun looked like the best player for Liverpool today, when he eventually got the chance to play.

Quite why Rafa preferred to start Babel instead will forever remain a mystery.

Still, as a Spurs supporter, I'm not complaining!

That's three wins for us in our last four meetings with Liverpool.

And how many Premier League teams can boast of having two debutant goalscorers who are both Cameroon international defenders?

They played an Everton team in terrible form what I heard. Arsenal always has games were they go crazy and score a bunch, but overall I expect the same inconsistency from them as we've seen the last few years.

Liverpool will challenge for the title again, they just had bad luck coming up against the mighty Spurs first.:D

Ben Haim has signed with Portsmouth.

I hope the new rich owner doesn't buy another new team there as well. I think Ben Haim has made terrible decisions with transfers in recent years. He should have never left Bolton.

I think in perspective..... Ben Haim is going in the same path as Berkovic has gone in the EPL. Going from team to team and never finding a real suitable team where he can build on. He was great and he proven that, but then he makes the money gesture with his hands and decides to go somewhere else ..or they possibly cant afford him or just dont see any value in him.

He is good and his fitness level went remarkably up from the time he came to the EPL. He is a hot commodity in Israel and i think he will have a good 3 years until we see him do great things in M.TA again?

Cohen scored again in Boltons 2:1 win over Birminghma. This is Cohen's third goal this season! (same as Benayoun). I think we all underestimated Cohen's potential.

Benayoun gave 2 assists in Torres' hat-trick, where Liverpool trashedHull City 6:1.

Ben Haim almost scored a header in Portsmouth's 7th loss in 7 games of the season.

Damn, it looks as though Yossi Benayoun got injured in the last match and is expected to be out for a long time.

Tal Ben Haim was fouled which got a straight red card on a Liverpool player and Portsmouth, who went into the game in last, beat Liverpool 2:0.

Maybe Grant should be added to thread title as he now is the manager for Portsmouth. It looks good for Grant, Portsmouth might get out of the relegation zone with their new coach.
