Spoke with Will Chang there, and told CD9 that I'm glad he's here - in every sense... Possibly the best DC U event I've ever been to. Great energy, appreciated the give away (free dogs), and nice access to Ben and the others. I hope this becomes an annual event before the season starts.

 

Are they going to sell the Ben's Chili Bowl shirts? Or were they just for the event?

I've never actually eaten there sober. I think my experience is shared by many Washingtonians.

I have been there for lunch...definitely sits better after midnight

 

Ben's Chili Bowl is more about the history and the experience. But let's be honest- it's not really good food. It sits in your stomach like a rock.

 

This is blasphemy.

 

Saying it might be blasphemy, but nobody goes to Ben's for the quality of the food. It's just a place you have to go at least once. I've been for the name, the rep, the ambience. Definitely not for the food.

 

Again I am denied the right to give you rep. womp womp.

 

The vegetarian chili dog is awesome.
