Belgian 2nd Division BS

    :eek: Wonder if someone can give me some details. I have a friend who supports Mons/Bergen. He said that another team in the league is going bust, so Mons will lose the 6 points that they got by beating this team. Also, the 2nd place team who lost to this team loses nothing. Sounds fishy to me!

    That does sound crazy, but you would think all teams have played at least one match by this point. Would be better to give the remaining teams forfeit wins.

    No, it happened before with Lommel. It's just a way of not giving the other teams the advantage of the forfait scores. It does sound fishy at first but it's not that unlogical.

    It sounds pretty damn illogical to me when Mons picked up 6 points and now have to lose them and that other team, whoever it is in 2nd place, lost 3 points and now it doesn't matter! The remaining games should be forfeits. How can you take points away from a team for winning? Its typical of the way the Belgian FA conducts business.
