Good news for For Android users: BeIN connect recently fixed an issue this week in which users could not login with their service provider credentials and were stuck in some userrname sign up screen. (IT was very annoying but they finally fixed it.) It seems like they have done away with that and now the app just takes you to your service provider selection screen when you try to sign in. The updated app even plays on my old android phone. ( I have not been able to use that in more than a year due to loading issues). Good job beIn (although it should have been resolved months ago... ...better late than never.)
The beIN channels are showing a lot of Juve matches lately. I think they are trying to tell everyone in a not so subtle way that Cristano will be on their Network come August.
http://awfulannouncing.com/soccer/e...udden-race-for-italian-serie-a-tv-rights.html Let's see how it plays out.
I hope ESPN gets Serie A rights. If BeIN gets it I fear the coverage of Serie A will turn into what it is for Ligue 1 where they spent 80% of their overall effort marketing one club. They might even end up showing Juve matches on both TV channels at the expense of non-Barca/Madrid La Liga matches.
I too hope ESPN gets Series A rights, even if it's just for ESPN+ at least I'd be able to watch it on a service that actually works properly.
Considering that I had to pay $15 a month for the Sports Pack through Spectrum, so I could get beIN, paying $5 a month is a lot better.
And my hunch is beIN will start charging for its streaming once it does work properly. Obviously they can't charge for a service that doesn't work. Even they are smart enough to realize that. (I assume whatever deal is struck with Serie A will be multi-year so have to think longer-term).
I don't doubt that they'd start charging, if they do though they have a lot of work ahead of them. I've never been a fan of beIN so if I don't have to watch them anymore, and pay $15 a month to do so, I would be pretty happy.
I dunno..........does anyone have numbers on how good/bad NBC Gold did? Hopefully this isn't the future .....having to pay for access for some cables on cable and then the rest on streaming.
Yup. We had this conversation before. For someone like you it would be a good change since you only really watch beIN for Serie A and would drop your sports package without Italian futbol. For someone like me though I watch a lot of other programs on beIN and would never drop it for just one league changing networks.
I notice that beIN has a lot of 2018 CAF Confederation Cup matches scheduled. That is kind of odd since it is not the Champions League but the second tier Cup (like the Euorpa league). What's up with that?
It's actually both - they will have 3 Champions League matches on Tuesday, and 3 Confederations cup matches on Wednesday. No surprise as they are dying to show ANY soccer during the World Cup summer... I have the listings here: http://soccertvblog.com/bestoftherest-tv/ SA www.soccertvblog.com PS. More CAF Champions League on the schedule for the weekend of July 27-28
See if you can spot the error in this story. http://www.beinsports.com/us/serie-a/news/alisson-thanks-roma-fans-ahead-of-rumored-che/932296 (edit: They changed it: It was "Alisson thanks roma fans ahead of rumored CHELSEA move")
Yeah, I received the same. "They have proposed a significant rate increase for the same content that they offer today" Of course we are only hearing one side of the argument, but it can be argued that they have less content than previously.
Now beIN has been removed from Comcast. I guess they’ll see how much power they have in raising their carriage fee in the coming days and weeks, as we get closer to the only property they have that matters, La Liga.
Maybe less soccer content but they have more tennis, motor sports and outdoors activities still to come.
Well, as of this morning I no longer have BeIN or BeIN espanol. Guess no agreement was reached b/w them and Verizon in the 11th hour. Oh well, I haven't watched single minute of either channel since last May. I'll start sweating if I still don't have it 2 weeks from now.
Sucks, but I've basically written off La Liga(and other beIN properties) this season as I'm cutting the cord and they're only on streaming services that don't look feasible for me. Will miss watching Barca/Malaga on a Saturday afternoon, getting annoyed by their "talent", switching to the spanish channel and falling asleep.
I never thought I would say this but I can do without bein this year also as things stand. I can get la liga games elsewhere and that's it. They are becoming less and less relevant.
