Beene replaces Mullinix on Gold Cup Roster

    PASADENA, Calif. (Sunday, October 27, 2002) - In a swap of goalkeepers, LaKeysia Beene has replaced Siri Mullinix on the 2002 U.S. CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup roster. Mullinix sprained her left thumb last Monday as the USA opened five days of training in San Diego, Calif., then aggravated the injury Saturday at the USA's final training before opening the tournament on Sunday against Mexico, necessitating the change.

    Good call by April Heinrichs. If Beene can do well in this tournament, the coach has to keep her and have Mullinix on the outside looking in...

    i personally think she can prove herself during this tourney.. but April has to give her some playing time let her show her stuff...
