Seriously though Hazard is the better player.

Salah has been on a much better team the last 2 seasons. And this season for Hazard, well this season has been a sh*t show for him unfortunately.

A bit of a dramatic statement. But your point stands.

No one could have predicted it would have gone this way.

No player is worth 100 mill for one season of football, especially not Hazard

 

Well, if i had information about his history of pre-season shenanigans with weight, i would have supported his transfer even less.

We could comfortably field Vin on that left flank, while invest 100M elsewhere.

 

He likes to eat during his vacation, he said so himself. "When i'm on vacation, i'm on vacation", meaning there's no work (training i guess). But he usually came back 2-3kg heavier and regained his fitness in the first month of the league season. This time a lack he came back heavier, it took him longer to regain his fitness (i don't think we've seen him 100% fit this season) and the injuries didn't help either.

 

What's arguments for Hazard as the better player other than fancy dribbles?

Salah has consistently scored more goals + assists than Hazard since 2015-16 season. And yeah, Salah plays on a better team but he's the best player and carries the biggest load for Liverpool's production.

Even Messi & Cristiano have played on grossly stacked teams & they're heads and shoulders above the rest due to their insane level of productivity.

 

Maybe it works when you are in early twenties. But when hitting that late ones... Well... Not a good idea. Honestly i am baffled how you can make your dream transfer and come to pre-season basically like a pig.

 

Unfortunately for him, his profession doesn't really allow him to have this type of mentality. I get that he should be allowed to enjoy his vacation and give his body time to recover but he should also have adjusted his routine to ensure that he doesn't completely fall off the wagon. His vacation shenanigans caused him to be so out of shape that he went into the season still trying to regain fitness (lose weight). That is completely unprofessional.

 

He can eat as much as he likes on vacation. He needs to arrive for the first game of the season in tip top shape though. If that means he needs to work out on his vacation, that’s tough luck.

It’s like saying “I can drink as much as I like in my free time” then drinking til 6 am in your own time but showing up drunk for work at 9 am the same day. Yes, you can drink however much you like in your own time but if you turn up drunk for work you need to be reprimanded.

 

My problem with him was that he didn't look like he was losing weight despite playing a lot of minutes. I fear that he might not be very disciplined with his diet even after vacations.

 

Yes you are right I misunderstood the original statement. If we waited 1 year he would have mostly likely been free. So yes 100 million for 1 year, especially Hazard, is not worth it. Especially in retrospect of how poor his season was.

 

Not going to have this discussion with you. I think hazard is the better player and that’s just how I feel. You’re not going to change my mind.

Salah isn’t even Liverpool’s best attacking player I prefer Mane to him.

 

I don’t know if he’s the better player overall, but Salah is a greedy goalscoring player which is exactly what we need in this shot-shy team. I would much rather have him than Mane for this Madrid team.

 

I prefer both Hazard & Mane to Salah.
