Sid Lowe - "Messi then missed an open training session on Monday, arranged annually for children to attend on the eve of Kings Day, Spain’s equivalent of Christmas Day. A club statement later said that Messi was suffering from gastroenteritis – a statement which, with unfortunate timing, came three days after the club captain Xavi Hernández had admitted in an interview that gastroenteritis is often the public excuse that hides other issues." https://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/jan/07/luis-enrique-ultimatum-barcelona-crisis Very unfortunate timing lol.
Maybe he tried some Epsom Salt cleanse or something else crazy like that. He wouldn't be the first athlete to take extreme measures for what he could have speculated would be a quick and easy fix/advantage.
At this point, he can injure himself by simply existing. He should be cemented firmly at the top of the list of players that need to be launched out of this club in the summer (only because I don't see a move in January being possible). The transfer is a bust, we wasted millions of euros for nothing in return and every time his name comes up it's always some BS. There is no place for him here and that only worsens if a certain Frenchman makes a decision in a month. Edit: 🎙 Ancelotti: Hazard didn’t have muscular discomfort, he had gastroenteritis and it affected him, Rodrygo too. Rodrygo trained today but he is not in his best condition, there is nothing else happening to Hazard, calm down.— Real Madrid Info ³⁵ (@RMadridInfo) November 30, 2021 Seeing Carlo addressed this so he may actually be "fit".
Roberto Martinez using revolutionary technology to get Hazard back to his best.. https://streamable.com/5awtjz
It’s still infinitely better and infinitely more relevant than bi weekly Roberto Martinez quotes. Jeez.
Not putting too much faith in those reports. On the other hand surely it's a bit weird keeping an expensive player like that in the team if he doesn't contribute, he (just like bale) is dead wood right now. The obvious thing is to sell asap.
❗| With the absence of Asensio, Bale and Rodrygo, the door for Eden Hazard's return to the XI has opened. It's finally Hazard's time. @marca pic.twitter.com/30T9mbdP9B— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) December 17, 2021
I was thinking the other day, who would I put in my all time rondo team? Gotta say Hazard quickly rose to the top on my list. Guy is a baller in those rondo sessions.
He's in heavy transfer rumors, there's even people convinced that he's as good as gone, and that he himself personally wants to leave.
