No one did. Even those people and media who were bearish on Hazard thought he would at least bring 10 goals and 10-15 assists a season. At his current rate he wouldn't hit that in a career here.
Nobody saw this collapse coming. People had concerns about his “attitude” pertaining to training and that one year he just casually took off was a red flag and a couple of us pushed back on the overrating of his quality and impact but his health was a sure thing. **sad sighing**
Hazard's worse is yet to come. And I am usually not pessimistic over here in BSRM. His contract expires in 2024. No one will buy him for the next three seasons.
Dude looked slow and heavy from the start. I expected him to be quicker and more active at the very least. Maybe it's the competition or the team.. or the jerseys..
Yes! However this will be admitting a problem for two very stubborn people, zidane for wanting Eden, and Perez for signing the most expensive real madrid that we could have got for free a year later. So, no, letting him go will never happen. Stuck with us until 2024.
What could end up happening is Hazard having a good Euro and then hopefully some sucker coming and taking him off our hands for a portion of what we spent on him.
If he has a great Euro, wouldn't that mean Zidane recovered him? Whenever a guy plays great its mostly due to the great recoverer.
If he has a great Euro all Madrid newspapers will be full of "Hazard, he's like a new signing!" when he returns. There's zero chance the club tells the guy to leave after a big Euro, especially with star players being sort of a one in a million on the transfer market these days.

It’s the Spanish Press. Unless they have access to his weight scale, I’m confident they have no way of knowing that. I think they have it out for him tbh
"Hello, it's me...I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet...To go over everything...They say that time's supposed to heal ya...But I ain't done much"
Just out of curiosity. What would Hazard have to do for the remainder of his time here to not only justify the financial expenses incurred (transfer & 5 year contract) but the almost two seasons wasted so far?
Play consistently and provide us with an attacking threat and a decent amount of goals and assists which would help us to trophies for the next three, which is what he was hired to do, unfortunately i don't think he's capable of that
