I really going to double down about pressure getting to Eden and this being a big transition for him. Even in that post match interview he just took a shot at himself for not scoring the goal which he feels could have been the difference. I can recognize that because I use to be very much like this. You probably can see hints of this because I tend to heap responsibility on my favorites to be decisive lol.
In fact now I'm rooting for Eden... I mean not like I wasn't before; I was just very angry he has been such a monumental disappointment. However when you come after the match and say something like that.... take responsibility like that. Put it on yourself publicly that you should have scored, should have made it happen. Yeah, I need him to find his success at this club.
Honestly in a way we’ve been fortunate, seconds away from a second defeat to ‘only’ being 3 points off the leader and 1 point off second place.
But now we HAVE to beat inter at least once, or least not any game to them and win the remainder of our games while hoping that Gladbach beat Shakttar once and draw the second leg.
Well yea , what I meant is that I ( and everyone else here I’m sure) would have preferred that our qualification to the next round not hinge on beating Inter, had we done our job and beat the easier teams we could have lost to inter twice and still make it through but we’ve now complicated things for ourselves.
He’s looking much thinner these days, hopefully with a run of games he can get back to his explosive self and help on our quest for a second La liga title in a row.
Was actually beginning to believe Vini would make that LW his own and we could start focusing on the right and center but instead its another Hazard lifeline. After a couple of off games (including a Classico) and then the Benz comments, the pressure will be immense for VJ to put up a string of games with strong performances meanwhile Hazard will get to take the carefree route finding himself firmly out of the spotlight for the time being.
The Vini drama should not influence Hazards situation at all. He's not involved and not at fault for any of this. I thought he was quite good, and understood the situation the team was in. He made a strong sub impact and deserves to be praised, as he would be if Benzema wouldn't have gotten caught on camera. I don't want to make him a part of this Vinicius drama, he's made his own mistakes and I'm super critical of him, but he shouldn't be part of this even as a prop or a bystander.
El Mundo: After the game vs Gladbach, Hazard told Real Madrid Medical Dept. head Niko Mihic, "Doctor, everything is okay. My ankle and quadriceps didn't hurt at all". Many in the locker-room were relieved to hear these words.— M•A•J (@Ultra_Suristic) October 29, 2020
The Vini drama takes all the pressure off of Hazard and unfairly puts it on the youngster. Some will say "it is what it is" but I'm not letting Hazard off that easy. He's been a bust and he has to do alot more than "understand the situation" when he plays. The injuries are even more reason that the transfer failed and making up for the lost time requires him performing now and later.
It's been 392 days since the last time @hazardeden10 scored a goal for Real Madrid (his only goal). He's featured in 24 games for Madrid. [@Marca] pic.twitter.com/OxcXHcpldO— Infinite Madrid (@InfiniteMadrid) October 31, 2020
Long-range goal with his weaker foot. Hopefully he can be a scoring threat like 2018-19 season. We badly need another scoring option besides Benz.
