What do we really know about Bedrossian? He didnt really show up until September and is now assumed to be on the bubble. Ive read disparaging analysis of his skills but I have no idea how to come to any judgment. He has no body of work, at least that I remember. On what basis is he being evaluated?

    A largely irrational one?

From us fans, we have a whopping 20 minutes to base our opinions. In those 20 minutes, he didn't do anything wrong, but wasn't called on to do anything positive either. If I remember it correctly, it was just a clock killing exercise.

The other players and coaches would be the ones who could give some perspective from training.

He also has never done anything of note in his playing career before playing those 20 minutes,

Id like more information before discounting. Really, I could be invisible for twenty minutes. Its meaningless. I dont even know the guys natural position.

Other than the fact that he had one, which puts him a leg up on all of us. :D

    29 minutes, but who's counting?

With any player, the minutes you and I see them are only a fraction of the minutes that the coaching staff sees them. And the problem with the transfer windows as they are (WTF was the rationale for them, anyway?) with regards to MLS is that you sometimes have to try to fit a guy in late in the year when you're already set team-wise or you are on a good run and you don't want to upset it. Bedrossian had the visa issue, then I think he may have gotten nicked up and next thing you know, it's the last 29 minutes of the season before he gets in there. He's like Jonathan Bolanos with a hotter girlfriend.

His resume isn't that impressive, to be sure. I think he might be a decent enough player, but we may never find out.

Its pretty clear that the transfer window timing mandates prearrangements. negotiations and visas have to be done beforehand.
