There have been some small complaints that the Referee forum has too many stickied threads. While some of them are on vitally important topics, they also clutter the top of the page, with some of them going weeks--if not months--at a time without replies. They also don't get any new reads until there is a response, which sort of defeats the purpose of having a thread stickied in the first place.

So, in an effort to clean things up, while not diminishing the importance of the issues being discussed, I'm dropping the stickies and consolidating links to several of them here, in a single thread that will remain stickied:

    1. How to become a referee: http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads/real-how-to-become-a-referee-thread.78618/

    2. Goal safety/anchoring: http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads/important-check-goals-before-every-match.535443/

    3. Dealing with lightning: http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads/suspending-a-match-for-lightning-thunder.1946376/

When there are new responses, the threads will jump to the top of the forum--just like with other threads.

We'll keep the acronym thread as a sticky, because it serves as a handy reference guide.

@Ismitje - it's been brought to my attention that the three links above are now broken. I presume things got re-mapped at some point. Any chance we can find the original sources and update? If not, I'll unpin and scrap this thread.
