I was eating at a restaurant last night and caught a glimpse of CNN on the TV. Across the bottom scroll was the headline - "Becks/Posh LA Shoe Store Snub".

    Anyone know the details? lol

The store owner made a good point.
They can't shut down stores in LA whenever a celeb walks in.
Perhaps they should shut the freeway down for them when they go to the stadium in LA this Saturday. [IMG]

what a Prima donna. Notice the article said "The couple made the request after turning up at the trainers shop with an entourage of bodyguards." and not fans... So why does she want the store to close again?

Posh. What a fitting name. You would think after all the hounding they get elsewhere they would appreciate a little anonymity.

That was one of the reason George Best loved living in America. He could actually go outside without being mobbed.

It was very amusing, As reported in the Sun.

  12. that is too funny

just think, there is a movie with beckhams name in it and they still can't get any respect. hahahahaha the funniest thing to me is that although posh was angry with the owner she still bought a ton of stuff from him. maybe beckham can take a hint from this guy and show posh a little backbone....

once again, this goes down as one of the funniest things of the year!

poor beckham his wife is an idiot.

trying to act like a "star".

funny he said none of the other immensely famous people who shop there EVER asked for the store to close.

methinks posh is trying to play like she's an actress.

no doubt. becks wants to become big in the US, but hell.... it's almost an entire continent where he can do whatever he wants without getting hounded. if i were him, i'd keep it that way

  16. $100 bucks says that store owner is a Jim Rome-loving, Deford-praying, soccer-hating baseball zealot.

Come on now, a store in LA that caters to Hollywood stars and the entertainment world, and the owner says he hasn't heard of the couple?
I would have believed it if his store was located somewhere in the boondocks... but in LA?

I mean, I don't like baseball and have never followed it, and yet, I know who Sammy Clemens, Pedro McGuire, Roger Martinez and Mark Sossa are!

    Not likely.

Your average shoe store owning Joe hasn't a clue who David Beckham is.

They were pretty cool to me. Last night, I was at the Saddle Ranch restaurant/bar in Hollywood and they were there with their kids and family and friends. I asked to take a picture with Becks and he was cool about it. He wasn't getting mobbed at all, so I can see how he'd like to live here. However, I did go back to get another picture for another friend and he said, "Not while I'm eating." Fair nuff...

  19. True, for an "average" shoe store.
But there is nothing "average" about a shoe store with a papparazi clientele, and in LA to boot(pun not intended).
