Now that we all know Beckham no longer will be playing in a Manchester jersey, how will that affect attendance and interest in the planned tour of the United States this summer for Man U? Will the avid supporter who just happens to find Becks dreamy not show up? Thoughts?

That is actually the first thing I thought of when I heard the news. I bet it will lower the attendance a little bit but nothing to drastic b/c I think most of the Man U games are already sold out. People will not spend the money for these expensive tickets and not go. Pluse I'm going to the AC Milan vs. Celtic match in Cleveland so what do I care.

Too much interest on one player,
    I'm glad this is over.

The matches are all sold out with the exception of Club America in LA, so it doesn't matter if he's there or not.

It really doesn't. Beckham was never the main selling point of the tour - sure, there were people who wanted to see Beckham, but most people who shelled out the big bucks did so because they want to see ManUre. And it doesn't matter who's wearing the ManUre shirt as long as it's ManUre. The club will always be bigger than the player.

When I got my Official Membership renewal a couple of days ago and Beckham wasn't on any page of the flyers, I knew it was a done deal.

You'll see a small spike in tickets offered on eBay, but the prices probably won't be affected, as well as the attendance.

When I go Philly, should I wear my 02-03 season Beckham Home jersey? Or my 99-00 no name Home Jersey?

    thanks

Beckham will not be touring with Manchester

I don´t think Beckham will go for US with Manchester United because he´s not a Manchester United player anymore.
He´s Merengue now and for sure he will be go with Real Madrid to Asia.

    Er, thanks for joining us.

Really, it won't make a difference. The ManU name is bigger here than the Beckham name when it comes down to it.

No one can tell you which is the right shirt to wear. Only your heart can tell you. And when you wear the right shirt, you'll just know that it's the right one, trust me on this. But remember, choose wisely because this is the most important decision you'll make this year, perhaps your entire life even.
In other breaking news, the sky is blue and my crap is brown.

Humm Beckham is not idiot, he went to USA for promotions and was completely ignored. So, now he prefer going Asia, where people adore him, with Real Madrid, than going US to waste time. Smart for sure.
I wonder why those other football clubs waste time going US for touring, come on, there football is NOT APPRECIATED AS THE KING SPORT IT IS, what a waste of time and energy!!
Great teams playing there.. for who??it´s a pity.

Hahahaha yea...Beckham signed for Real Madrid only b/c this summer's Asian tour would be better for his profile than ManU's US tour. Hahahahaha, yea that's it you dumbass.

    Slap in the face

HAHAHA What a flop for the US organisers for the MAN-U USA Tour! They were really wanting Beckham to come to the states for promotion but he is with the superstar side Real Madrid and touring in Asia where the crowds will flock to them instead of Man-U. Oh well it is a slap in the face to both sides isn't it? :p HAHAHA very funny this is!

No. Every game is a sell out. And he's touring Asia by himself, not with Real.
