Beckham to Real for 25 million pounds

So, with the Beckham deal done, Howard should be off to Manchester after the Confed Cup is over. If the dominoes are aligned, Howard gets inked and we can complete a deal for a keeper, whoever that may be (Cannon).

ManU are so sentimental about their captian, they are selling farewell photos on their web site. Buggers.

    a) No becks on the Manu-Juve tour

    b) Howard gone

    c) Ronaldinho to ManU?

    d) It took me rooting for Barcelona to finally figure out why Met fans really hated Yankee fans all of these years. Real Madrid is the devil.

It won't be easy to replace Howard; the quality after the premier guys drops off drastically. Like trying to replace an all-pro db in football (American style).

Ronaldinho would prefer to go play for Real.
He isnt going to be a forward with Raul and Ronaldo up there, so that would mean he would be in the mid right? Beckham on the right, Figo on the left, Zizou and Makelele in the middle.
Is there room for Ronaldinho? They could play a 3-5-2 but their defense sucks enough already, Figo could be on his way out, or idk.
I just hope he goes to Man U.

Beckham's deal has no effect on Timmy's situation. Timmy is going regardless of whether Beckham was going to stay or not. If anything, now Beckham's departure clears the way for Man. U. to get Ronaldinho and a defender like Mexes.

I thought Figo and Makelele were both out....it would only make sense to go get Becks (worthless scum) from Man U. Other than that, the deal makes no sense to me. They have players at Real and at that position that are better than him.

If you listen carefully you can hear Charlie screaming from the Champions World offices.

Haven't they already sold a metric sh!tload of tickets? Philly's sold out, isn't one of the others as well? I don't expect this will have much of an impact on ChampionsWorld at all since tickets went on sale three months ago.

Beckham's deal affected Timmy in that ManU were looking to resolve that status before finalizing their other moves. Whether he stayed or not, Timmy was likely to go, but, from what the british press was saying 3 weeks ago, they wanted to get the Becks issue decided one way or the other. I expect you will see a number of moves from them in the next 3-4 weeks now that this is out of the way.

Not really. From the New York Times, Thursday, 6/19:

David Beckham will not be coming to the United States on Manchester United's four-game tour this summer after his transfer to Real Madrid, but he and his new teammates will almost certainly play a series of games in the United States next year.

"They are one team from a pool of teams that we have spoken to," said Charlie Stillitano, chief executive of ChampionsWorld, the company that is promoting Manchester United's tour. The company also put on last summer's Real Madrid-AS Roma match, which was a sellout at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. "We have had a healthy discussion with Real Madrid," Stillitano said. "Nothing is certain right now, but it seems like a natural, especially because Real is going to Japan in August."

Beckham, who is now on a promotional tour of four Asian countries, was transferred to Real Madrid on Tuesday for $41 million after reaching agreement on contract terms. The Spanish news media reported that part of Beckham's transfer fee would be paid by Adidas, the sporting goods manufacturer that now has its three top endorsers--Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, and Raul--playing for the same club.
