Beckham to Real. Signs a 4 year deal. So if David wants to finish his carrer in the US. No i should say if Posh wants to finish his carrer in the US. He would come to MLS in '06 or '07.

ESPN Radio right now. Talking about Beckham. Then next segment bringing on Tommy Smyth and Ray Hudson.

He'll probably want to go to a glamour-puss team like the Galaxy. Brain-dead LA for brain-dead David.

How dare he walk out on one of the only human beings who can, literally, walk on water: Sir Alex Ferguson. It's a disgrace! Hopefully, Manchester United will get Ronaldinho and continue their winning ways far into the future.

By the way, why didn't MLS make a serious offer? Asleep at the wheel. :D

What made Posh choose Madrid? The shopping?
    The night life? The weather?

I would think all three are better in Barcelona, which Becks turned down, apparantly. I'm assuming that was Victoria's decision -- along with the whole 'let's get out of Manchester' song and dance.

After all, there's more to life than just football.
There's fashion. And makeup. She says.

I say she must be very, very good, and I'm not talking about singing.

Who's show was it? If it's Kornheiser I know they archive it so we can listen later.

KNBC LA just did a rather long little piece on Beckham arriving in Japan to a wild welcome, which included an interview with a young British girl who was mad at Sir Alex, an explanation of the trade, his coming immediate financial impact on Real Madrid and more.
The female anchor said he was better looking than his wife after the piece and the male disagreed and they both decided they had no idea what the British girl was talking about, though she made perfect sense. :)

Because ManU wouldn't take payment in toilet paper, and that's all those clubs have to offer as currency.

Another reason would be the same one players in Argentina cite themselves. The fear of kidnappings.
It's almost a national sport there and the more famous players are in fear for themselves and their families much of the time. It's one of the reasons many are anxious to go play elsewhere and take their families with them.
I don't think Beckham and Posh would be up to that threat again.

No problem. Posh would have just made sure that as a condition of the contract everyone else had to leave the country so she could have Argentina to herself.

firstly, real dont have a reserve team.

Secondly, good luck to david and i wish him all the success he deserves a side to maths his ability

Thirdly, thank you america for making him look like a fool and making him the butt of countless jokes with me and my mates

Can you see beckham joining an MLS side if the MLS still aint got a Copa Libertadores place when even at 35 he could get a place at ato european side with champions league hopes

David Beckham, the thing that is beckham. He aint the best british player (that ward goes to Alan Shearer, hes the player european teams fear most look at juves prep in the ECL). I would love to see beckham in the MLS but i cant see it happening.
