I'm sure that statement was made only relative to ManU's upcoming USA tour (which, of course, includes NO MLS friendlies)...not any impending free transfer to Landonville. Not any time soon... Becks commands a lot of attention in Japan as well--he also mentioned that he wanted to play there... Seriously he would have to win a World Cup and then play in a huge media market (Metrostars? MLS Cosmos? Galaxy?) if he wants to garner media attention and a look from fans of the other sports. If he plays for LA, expect him to get booed loudly. I don't expect him to take a corner kick, swipe a swig of beer (or Pepsi?), boot the ball and then it goes in for a goal. Cheers!

I think Beckham will play where the missus wants him to play. Madrid or Milan is next, I suspect, but maybe in five years.... If it's here in the States, he's already played a little in Brooklyn....
