Beckham arrived in New York City yesterday. I saw a picture of him walking the streets. Does anyone know what he is doing there? Where's he staying? Any news...thanks

It showed him walking in SoHo so he probably is staying down there. If anyone knows please post.

I don't know what he is doing here, but it seems odd that he would come now since he is going to be playing here in 2 months with Manchester United against Juventus.

He's staying at the SoHo Grand, Room 708. He's booked under his false name "Bubbles McRubbles". Good luck.

He's in secret negotiations with a professional soccer team based in NY/NJ and a US based single entity league. I can't tell you the name of the team or the league because it's a secret. [IMG]

No. The team I can't mention is in sensitive negotiations on a stadium deal at the same time and lose lips sink stadiums as they say. I wouldn't want to jinx anything.

  10. Leave the guy alone. No wonder people think he's overhyped and over publicised, because people like you wanna stalk him.

Apparently he was seen in Disneyland last week with his kids wearing Nike and Posh drinking a Coke.

    Too funny.

Now that was uncalled for. Don't rub it in on the poor fans in other parts of the country that they don't have the finest soccer stadium in the western world located where the sun seems to be always shinning in mild temperatures and that most of them can't get In-n-Out burgers either. Jerk. :D

I still haven't found a place that serves decent fish tacos either.

Yes. Check back. It also seems that there's a slight chance the deal may fall because some Euro team is trying to outbid the NY/NJ team that I can't name as of yet.

No. They stay in NY most of the time during the off season. They live when they come to LA. :)

You guys just don't know how annoying it is to have his smirking phizzog on nearly every page of every paper in the UK. Now comes the news that he may be awarded the OBE (Order of the British Empire...hold on a sec, we haven't had one of those empire things for 50-odd years!) for services to football. He's done bog-all but smirk everywhere and speak in his thicko cockney accent (his is an extremely thick (as in dumb) accent, I've never heard one that makes someone appear so thoroughly stupid.) Actually, he doesn't speak that much anymore, just smirks. I think his agents have told him to shut up as he's damaging his image.

Seriously, man, I'm boycotting all papers and TV shows that have him on or in it. I'm just fed up. How about starting a 'No-Beckham' day or something. It'd be ace!

    LA vs NYC

I love NY. i grew up in upstate NY, live in NJ now. The city is great. But i've been to LA 4 times and LA is a better place than the NY City area.I'd live in LA in a second if I had a good job there. Phucking place is beautiful.

No. The team I can't mention is a real team that plays now. They are doing much better than last year but that's all I can say or I might give it away. :)

Surely, if you're a Tottenham fan your accent will be roughly similar to Beckham's, yeah? You take the piss, mate.
