It's funny you say that , because I on the other hand was one of the very first people to dismiss it from the very start ( despite the scarey doom and gloom and end of the world 24/7 media propaganda thumping ) . It was very simple for me. A virus cannot be two things simultaneously. It cannot be rather "like the seasonal flu" for over 99 percent of the population who have absolutely nothing which would intensify this so called disease ( this is something the media kept lampooning on which ergo by definition also makes Covid-19 --->>> just like any other seasonal flu....right? ) .Yet as they said that it cannot be "special" and "very deadly" at the same time ( another media canard used 24/7 in their blitz ). This is a logical contradiction that I couldn't dismiss as they are logically incongruent to any rational person . Yet many couldn't see it for what it was, both at the start and for many others even years after the fact , at the levels of cognitive dissonance that had infected their brains ( ipso facto brain rot ) both back then and for many even still now. Once I had given this notion the heavy consideration that it deserved ( ya know like 3 seconds ) then all the propaganda and media thumping simply had no effect. All the imagery and " stories " simply washed off me like water off a raincoat or a duck's back. I did enjoy myself at that time despite the dullards insistence I was the one being dumb and " irresponsible and wreckless " ( because masks were for idiots both then and now naturally ). However later I also enjoyed myself reminding all the same dullards, who took this position with me, in so far as to how much they were scared by it then. Allowing themselves to seriously be manipulated by it. Yes , I did also enjoy myself when reminding those same dullards of the shit scared and hare brained minds they displayed to me.. But naturally their memory of the events has shifted a bit , because what do you know? Accordingly, they never said any of that or thought that way at the time ...I must have been misremembering it....Naturally.... Yeah...Strange....Isn't it?
For me, the only good thing that came out of Covid is that I can now work from home and get to save a lot of money on gas. Other than that, I’m not sure what else came of it.
Now ain't that the truth Falvo . But since I work in Health Care , well that opportunity is not afforded to me , but hey , at least it is to my wife though. So some savings are made in gas . Though albeit at the cost of longer work days for her , as naturally when one works from home there is no distinctly separated timeline boundary anymore between the home life environment and the work life environment. Thus that is taken as a green light for others to cross over those boundaries ( ya know " the new normal " ) with untimely and inconvenient requests which naturally only extend the working hours of one's day from the home. Hint - they knew this would be the result . That's the trade off . At least in her domain . So that time where one would start their commute is when many people working from home now begin and likewise the time upon which they return in their commute now becomes the new ending of their work day - from the home .
Covid also helped me save a lot of time on a daily basis. From getting up and ready for work in the morning, commuting to and from, taking two 15-minute breaks and an hour lunch. The way I figure it, because of Covid, I save about 3-4 hours a day of downtime.
Back to Iran (yes, I'm a piece-of-shit and still holding out hope). FIFA needs to be firm. FIFA hold the upper hand and the cards, it's their tournament. Iran's requests are very reasonable and are bare minimum. But by the same token they cannot dictate terms and feel they can protest what they want without a response. Allow these talks to take place and FIFA to tell Iran their demands. Can't be uppity.

I saw much of the game to keep tabs on Mavropanos, but also knowing it would be a tense game. West Ham were battling to avoid relegation. Raya made a big save that kept the game balanced prior to Trossard's winner. Mavropanos looks a much improved player to me. If West Ham go down, I'd be shocked if he doesn't end up at a very good club.
So this video went viral over here last week. Despite being a conversative site, and they used to have a TV channel, I disagree with plenty of it. Self explanatory: A former Comfort Inn was purchased by Durham Region to house migrants/refugees/invadors. They are paid and get free accommodation. You know, just like Scottish/ Irish/ Greek/ Croatian/ Italian/ Portuguese immigrants that came here decades ago... This city is just east of Metro Toronto. I was in the neighborhood today and dropped by to see for myself what is going on. The parking lot was pretty much empty. As I pulled in a couple of curtains were bustling. I walked in and there was a security desk, an Asian guy, I could barely understand him and a petit Indian woman. Had a small conversation with them about what's going on. I asked them about the report and I asked rhetorically "so this is where my tax money is going?" She got a little defensive and said, well, it's all our tax money that's going here and I said, well, it's mainly the Canadian people tax money to which she bemoaned how much she paid last year. One thing I've noticed about Indian online comments they always bring up how they pay taxes (as if they are the only ones). I asked her how long she's been here and she said 4 years. I told her how my parents have had their home paid off for decades, and I mean decades, as I've never known them to have a mortgage and they still pay well over 3K a year in property taxes despite being retired. She was pretty quiet after that. Obviously I'm not going to cause a stink. I'm not going to get arrested for these f******g people. They were respectful, so I just returned the favor back. t's just a shit show. I am a stranger in my own country. They always seem to hold Canada hostage, they get lot of transfer payments towards them. This is part of the reason why Alberta is so f******g pissed off. The rest of Canada has to kiss their ass and bend over backwards so they don't separate. While I respect that they do have a distinct culture, a distinct identity , they are still Canadian. But like the rest of western nations , they too have seen their province being taken over. As an aside, you ever listen to the French being spoken in Quebec? It's way different from French spoken in in France or Belgian French. They speak it the way it was spoken by the French settlers that arrived 400 years ago and never evolved.
