I come in peace and don't intend to stay - but in recent memory there have been assassinations and attempted assassinations and attempted kidnappings of liberals - not to mention other right wing gun attacks on gays and others. What makes you say one side is definitely more violent than the other? I really hope that things don't continue to escalate even though it sounds like it may be too late for that in which case we all lose. Political violence by anyone, left or right middle, is abhorrent.
J6 definitely violence on the Right. Sure, some walked through open doors and "Praying Grandma" aside that had no ill intentions that legitimately got caught up in it, but that was definitely violence on the Right. Tiki Torch boys from Charlottesville some years back. No violence per se, but an assembly to intimidate. No doubt. But the left had BLM, 2 attempts on Trump (even if 1 is suspect), they seem to always be confrontational, Tesla dealerships getting vandalized. I stopped liking Musk as well after being his biggest fan boy but I would never vandalized a car dealership of his. US has always had political violence (2 POTUS' killed and an attempt on Reagan). Social media making it worse. EDIT: Minnesota incident from earlier this summer, Melissa Hortman, hammer attack on Paul Pelosi. Maybe it is getting worse.
