"First Light on Secret Beach" Oregon.
I had to revisit once more and I had to be really early because of the tide. Walked, or slid down the about 1/2 mile steep trail in the dark and got to the beach at the same time as the light.
Secret beach isn't so secret any more, it even has its own web page...!!!
The only footprints down there were from a lone raccoon wandering the tideline, and mine. Serene and peaceful except when I cursed for getting wet with a sneaky wave. It's still magic.

This is the end of the trail going in. Then you hit some nice steep slick rocks above a stream.

I had to push the ISO a lot to get these hand held, it was still pretty dark. The tall rock on the right with the moon above it is the one in the centre of the first pic. Long, tall and skinny.

Looking back, yup that's the same rock! the green patch, mid right, is the end of the trail with the rock and stream below. Looks easy...! My lone footprints. there.

Getting a little lighter as I reach the end of the beach in the glow of the dawn.
4a.jpg We'll be back down that way in the early spring. I'm hoping for a really low tide.

I don't know what it is about a lot of trees. I go to my nephues graduation it was an open space surrounded by trees like that. Instead of enjoying his graduation I am thinking if those trees catch fire we are all dead.

I wanted the end of the pier just a bit more toward the center of the pic, but there would have been people in it.
