Wow...that was a very exciting game last night. The Beat looked a lot more organized, especially in the first half. It's funny, Matchtracker still shows Philly winning 2-1. Also, Pia Sundhage was there & it was fun to see her interacting with (and even coaching) some of her players after the game. Who else was there? Any thoughts about last night's game?
I wasn't at the game, but I just watched the highlights. The first goal by Yamaguchi was a pretty one and the last one was a nice set piece. That last goal must have been with just seconds to go. I noticed in the highlight that right behind Ellertson going toward the goal was Hope Solo. Not a bad idea, if you have nothing to lose, because she has good height and leaping ability. A lot of us from the St. Louis area are hoping to get down there to see the new stadium sometime this year, not to mention a lot of our former players. I actually had my hotel and everything for the game on Memorial Day weekend, but obvious that game got cancelled. I wish you were a little closer.
