sfs is an ex-pat from an Iron Curtain nation...I don't know which one. Probably one that values bitterness and anger.

That would actually help explain the name change. jri was a lunatic Freddy hyper before. A reincarnation is much easier than an admission of error.

that would be option (iv)...which actually makes sense

I'm not sure that it's a fruitful endeavor to attempt to connect one incarnation of a poster to another. It tends to lead to ad hominem reasoning and judgement, instead of focusing on what they're actually saying.

I wonder if he and Drsmoo got together and decided to turn the cold shoulder to Freddy.

Depends on the fruit you're after. If it's intelligent discussion, maybe not. If it's knowing which posters are reinventing themselves because their previous incarnation posted itself into irrelevance so that you can add those posters to your IL to keep the noise down, it is helpful. If it's just speculation drawing lines to moronic posters who ignore facts to rehash their arguments 15 times a day to moronic columnists who ignore facts to rehash their arguments once a month, that's just fun fruit.

    Golazo68 is JRI

They are the only two posters in the history of BigSoccer who have posted on the advantages of actually not watching games.

    Read'em and weap...errr... laugh

I guess if he doesn't respond you'll know you're on his ignore list. :)

Especially if you happen to be wrong about the poster's identity.

I mean, ad hominem arguments are reasonably logical (though not syllogistic) if you have an understanding of the person's larger philosophy and you limit yourself to argumentum ad hominem circumstantiae or argumentum ad hominem tu quoque, for example. But if you are wrong about the other poster's own philosophy on a subject (which this kind of speculation leads to), then you really just end up looking foolish.
