Please update on his injury. I'm guessing he will be needing a new pair of shin guards after the hit he took last night.
No word yet that I could find. I'm a bit worried about the description, though. I mean, a "deep bruise on the shin"? How deep can it be before it's a calf injury?
It was mentioned during the Argentina game that he had taken a hard shot during practice and was questionable for the game. Taking another one during the Jamaica game just settled his off time. He'll be fine. However, I have always watched DMB play and cringled everytime he gets a shot to the shins because of the tiny guards he wears. A player of his size and agility might want to invest in a slightly larger pair before he succumbs to the Fire curse (s**t, I didn't say that did I?)
Here in Fort Wayne where DMB is from, we all wear the smallest, dinkiest guards we can get away with..... sorry but you can blame us older coolege and ex-pro's that he grew up with....... funny thing is I have had the same damn injury about three times and I still wear the DPS pro guard from Diadora..... its about 5 inches long! One of DMB's local friends, Mike Harper, uses a foam beer can cooler cut in half as his shinguards, and he just suffered a broken tibia and fibula at the Mockingbird tourny in Louisville last month. I'm TELLING you we're all to blame for this! (Hangs head in shame)
