I'd like to have someone make a Johan Derksen clip of Hahnemann's save on Cole around the 25th on the shot marked for the top corner from the right of Marcus' box... fully outstretched... play was offside, but what a stop.

I tried to watch this game. I really did. It looked like a men's team vs. a U12 team. There must have been (on average) an 8" height difference and 50 lbs weight difference between players on the 2 teams.

Having said that, I'm amazed that Chelsea only wound up winning 1-0. I suppose it could be because they all felt sorry for Bobby Convey, but that doesn't seem terribly likely (to me anyway).

It didn't look like Reading ever got the ball.

Second half possession was probably 50-50 or even 60-40 to Reading. They played much better in the second half, and they should have drew had they not had a pretty much open net shot whiffed.

applying this logic- Chelsea would have won 6-1.

Bobby is getting stronger actually than he was where this is concerned, but he doesn't have his form from 2 years ago back yet. And you're not the only one to notice, Coppell was in the transfer market for a left winger - me thinks bobby might be on the way out.

Kebe's a player who can play both wings, but prefers the left. The right side has been a huge problem this season, with everyone barring the tea lady having a go there at some stage (she would have played but had a hamstring strain) without much success. Kebe isn't a replacement for Convey, but Convey does need to start stepping up a gear or two. He was cut a bit of slack an account that he was coming back from injury, but that slack is beginning to get reeled in.

Mind you, nobody knows how good Kebe will be. Reading's track record with signings since promotion had been abysmal. Take Sidwell's old position away, and the best XI of the current squad is the same as the best XI of two years ago.

    From the Reading Official Site:

    "Bobby Convey
He has some stitches in a wound on his shin, so that might affect his chances for the weekend."

This does not bode well for Bobby... once out of the team, he may have a hard time getting a starting role back.
