Holy "Double Vision" batman. Does this "feel like the first time" or what!! The MLS final is in LA like 1998, the Cubs are gonna lose in the playoffs to the Braves. The Fire are in an inaugural season at Soldier Field!! Let's go support our boys and play "head games" with the Crew. The rest of Chicago will wonder what all the fuss is over a bunch of "foreigners" playing football in Soldier Field.

    When: October 10, 2003
4:30 to ½ hour before game time.

Where: Top floor of that concrete structure south of Soldier Field. Just look for the flags.

What: The BB1871 "something, something" Tailgate.

    How much : $5

Why: Because Homey don't play Naperville no more!

Whew, I'm relieved that I heard of The Darkness and bought their CD on September 30.

The ignominy of following the herd is something I could never live down.

I don't know if this is some kind of special CPA humor or not but I brought it up because Don was talking about them at Marcin's house before the game.

    Not really.

    1. I'm not a CPA (one Uniform CPA Exam section passing grade and some paperwork and fees away from that still).
    2. I was in the Boston area last week, and heard The Darkness on the radio, and purchased their CD at Newbury Comics on September 30.
    3. My girlfriend would never let me live it down if she determined that I had, in fact, not learned of the band on my own, but had bought the album in response to what people on a soccer message board had to say about it.
    4. I have no sense of humour.

Nonetheless: it is a good album, and I think the band is hilarious. If you don't get the joke just by looking at the album artwork, you probably shouldn't buy it.

Don Crafts? Did he bring them up in the same sentence as sterophonics or Kiss? Was he drinking port when you saw him? Don't listen to him. He's a poser. He'll hate the band tomorrow if too many people mention their name.

The jury is still out as to whether the SEC will allow CPA's to have a sense of humor, certainly not this year.

    The Darkness at thte tailgate

So true, so true. It was me. I wasn't drinking port, but we were drinking. So I put The Darkness on Marcin's giant stereo. Which promtly ran all the skinheads out of the house. That or the fact that Marcin busted out Polish vodka to go with the bowls of pork fat.

The Darkness are awesome and will be played at the tailgate out of my giant Tahoe tailgate.

No, skinheads are "skinheads" by choice. Don has only partial choice in the matter.

There are only a few perfect heads in the world. The rest have to be covered with hair.

  20. It's the lice. Gotta shave it if you get lice. Or crabs, but that's the other hair.

Is it true that Chicagoland's only Beerslide Bowling Alley will be contructed on top of the parking garage?

If true, is Peter Wilt really going to volunteer as one of the bowling pins?

I like the way Andy thinks. Someone invite him to the BB tailgate. I think they are having one...
