Bayern will send a scout to look at Cerezo Osaka FW/MF Yoshito Okubo in April. Cerezo Osaka have a biz. relationship with Bayern, so maybe this shouldn't come as a surprise.

Bayern have said they will acquire a Japanese player in the offseason. It's just a matter of who they will pick. It would be a bit of a shocker IMHO if they picked an up and comer like Okubo instead of some of the more established players linked with moves to Europe.

If he is picked, he has a decent chance of playing, IMO, since 2 of their first team FWs, Zickler and Elber have basically said, "Get me the hell out of Munich!"

he has no chance of playing. Bayern is only signing him to make money in japan.
