Bayer games now?

    I'm surprised there wasn't already a thread with Donovan's news to return to Germany.

    I think it has been explained before how they "pick" the Germany match on Sat, but what are the chances of FSW pushing to get Bayer games as the highlight match?

    I hope they decide to show them. They've proven in the past that they're willing to show German teams with Yanks in them...

    Probably not, FSW picks the best Saturday game and that's about it. Bundesliga wouldn't get any more ratings if they picked games with American players, they've tried it with Hannover 96.

    Yeah, but wouldn't MLS get even better ratings (they're doing well for what is still only a nine-year-old league) if Landon Donovan was a big ratings-draw?

    Landon sounded as excited as a 50-year old about to get a prostate exam when I heard his interview on Football Friday.

    With that attitude he's bound to fail.
