How do you "exit" the UAV? If I run it back to me, and want to repair it or something, how do I do so? Every time I've ended a UAV run so far is because either someone destroyed the UAV, or someone killed my character.
On PS3, it's the same button you use to exit any vehicle (circle). not sure about XBOX or PC versions.
On Xbox, to exit a vehicle, including the UAV, click the B button. Be careful on Nelson Bay (the night time snow map) when using the UAV. Sometimes if you're up in the air for a while and you can move up to the next set of M-com stations, you'll then be out of bounds and don't have enough time (10 seconds) to get back into the active zone.
There are a ton of folks running around with the SPECACT downloads. It is kinda cool that I got a bunch of new weapons unlocked by virtue of having the kits downloaded. Why didn't they replace the default classes, instead of adding the new classes ("Medic+")? That doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
Are the DLC skins noticeable in-game? Do you have the option to switch them up in the menu? And lastly, did you "purchase" them through the Dr Pepper promo website, XBL, or the in-game menu? I haven't had a chance to play since the skins became available. I'm STILL recovering from my Red Bull away weekend.
Well I'm gonna hope you're wrong, so there! You guys did make a bunch of noise throughout the game tho, very good support. Also saw you guys on the walk over, chanting something like "Anchovies!" or something... we couldn't make it out exactly.
Noticeable: Yeah, I think so. TBH, I can't remember exactly how uniforms changed based on the map before, but I saw "snow" camo on the snow maps, which I don't remember before. My memory could be bad, however. Switch: For each class you've got the promo skins, you have two selections from the class selection menu. For example, "Assault" and "Assault+". Assault+ is the SPECACT class, while Assault is the normal assault class. You can use the special weapon (M16A2) with either Assault class. There are additional awards (not the pins, but the bottom half of that screen) that have been added for each SPECACT DLC. Purchase: You get them by going to the Dr. Pepper site. Once you get the code, it gives you a link to a Battlefield site, where you can select which SPECACT DLC you want (IOW, you have to repeat the process for each one). The game will automatically download them the next time you fire it up.
I did that, and read that was the way to do it, but as I said before I haven't had time to play lately so I wasn't sure what to expect when I am finally able to fire up me some BC2. I just wanted to make sure I didn't blow those 4 codes. I still have a half dozen or so available, if anybody wants them. Foosinho and electrickeeper can vouch that they are indeed legit.
It's automatic. You'll get a bunch of "press A to make this go away, press Y to make this really go away" popups. My guess is that when you fire up the game it signs you in to the DICE servers, who notice that you've "purchased" this DLC and don't have it, and thus push it out to you automatically. I was expecting to have to select them from the store (despite their having disappeared from there after the DLC came out), but nope - fully automatic.
For those of us who have purchased BC2 new, and have played online, we will automatically get early access to the M24 in Medal of Honor. http://www.battlefieldbadcompany2.com/moh
Excellent news and perfect timing I was thinking about trading this in to help pay for some new games. I love me some co-op action.
