away match friday, home match Saturday.

Wilmington's match is on FSC and we are hosting a Watch party at Madra Rua in North Charleston for those interested.

Battery only two points out of second place but a loss will drop us to fifth place within the Division.

Saturday see the return of the Riverhounds to Blackbaud this season.

The Battery have been stepping up and getting the job done for the most part (3-1-1 over the last five matches) but still it going to be tough in wilmington (narrow, turf field) and Pittsburgh second match in two days.) Fortunately, Pittsburgh will have a match on Friday night as well and I would imagine the heat will take a bit more toll on them than the Battery.

It is also Toys for Tots night Saturday and if you bring a new and unwrapped toy you get free admission to the match. Also bring a few stuff animals to throw out at half time!

Tailgate should be starting by 5:30 or so. We will be near the east stand entrance.

    See you there!

Not sure what shirt I will be wearing to the match, but I will find you.

A few pints of COAST Kolsch will help my eye sight.

    Cheers!

I can get it locally here too, but having it at the source is a bit better. And cheaper, too.

Solid win by the boys and Wilmington were unlucky with a few of their chances.

we'll take the 3 points and ride high into Saturday's match against Pittsburgh.

    up the Battery!

Dykstra had a great game and we really paid for a couple of defensive lapses...

...and in front of 5127 Hammers fans no less. Good job.

Good win for the Batts, we needed the points to stay in the mix for a playoff berth.

Great crowd mbsc, I've always loved coming to matches at Legion, you have a solid fan base. Hope the first timers don't get discouraged by the loss and return for more. 5K is very solid attendance for our league.

watched the game on FSC. The crowd looked good and the Battery got three points which was much needed. Hopefully we can get another 3 points tonight to improve in the standings. Hopefully I can make another game this year. Im really eyeing the Portsmouth FC match but its gonna be hard to make. Ill be watching the game tonight on USLlive, look forward to seeing some familiar faces in E10 tonight on the cpu. Lets Go Battery!

Idc if he had a chance on them. My opinion is based on the past years I have supported them, Keith lets in soft goals often. He just doesnt have it.

Not a great performance on Saturday night, for sure. Something(s) really seemed to be lacking, but the stretch of 3 matches in a week will not help ANY club.

Still, a great time visiting with y'all JBG and Mikey. Thanks to everyone involved. We were really taken back by the hospitality tossed towards us out-of-towners. We will be back down again, soon.

Good to meet you and the Ms. GDS, hope to see you back soon. We pretty much treat everyone the same at the tailgate table....even our opponents. Hell, some of our best friends are from Toronto and Atlanta. (Hope we see both of them back soon).
