    Southern Derby match up!

Carolina started off hot this season and are top of the table. A stat that might be alittle deciving as they have played 5 matches to most every one esle four or three.

another astreik is that there wins have come when they are playing 10 men.

Still they finished off there oppents and look like a solid team. they have had a high off season turnover but there coach seems to be able to bring out the best in players.

Ive heard that he hasnt loss a home game in like three or four years.

Also the Battery have never won a game in Cary.

But stats are ment to be broken and Hopefully Saturday night the Battery's offense will find there groove.

the Battery will have to look out for Carolina's quick counter attack but I feel our experienced back line will be able to get the job done. Patterson is going to get one of his runs down and Antoniuk and Fuller are going to get on the end of Yoshi's crosses.

Battery win 2-1 finally, as both teams finish with 10 men.

My stream was very choppy, but luckily it was fine during that play.

Defense survived an onslaught in the last 15 or so (including stoppage time) to make it out. Great win!

Good game for the Battery. They came out scored early and maintain possession for long periods of time. Good movement all around and several good attacking chances (17 shots according to uslsoccer http://www.uslsoccer.com/stats/2009/1051823.html )

Carolina has been a thorn in the Battery side for the last couple years. but the Battery looked to be in control of the game. Granted the sending off early on worked in teh Battery favor.

I dont have a problem with Wilson card but it looked like Nelly stood the Railhawk player up who was trying to make a run down the sideline and Wilson timed his takle for where he thought the player was going to be.

I understand Armstong had a ankle injury that kept him out of the line up and was going to have it checked out today, hopefully its not too bad.

Kudos the boys for getting it done and hopefully we can go up to Montreal on Friday night and take care fo business there.
