the game kicks off at 6pm tonight at Blackbaud stadium. Free to all.

Dont think im going to make this one but if anyone could post up some feed back that would be great.

Im particularly interested in who esle is out there besides the official roster.

By my count and according to the website roster, there are 17 players signed. Of those, two are still playing indoor (armstrong and patterson) and two are keepers (Hudock and Wiggins) that leaves 13 field players. I cant help but think the Battery have a couple more that havent been announced yet. and interested to see who they are.

In my opinon defense is taking up shape nicely (on paper) I think we have the wings (yoshi, kenga, williams), and a good attacking mid. (armstrong) patterson is a good poacher type forward. I think we need a defending midfileder (or someone in that role, Hemming and Treschuk both seemed more attacking players that the type to do the dirty work) and a target forward, (Fuller maybe? still need some depth though)

About the defensive midfilder and imaging that we really sig Bermúdez, may be we can use him in that spot since the defence look pretty strong. I concern about the center foward, looking the roster so far we have only 2 (Fuller and Patterson) y think that the team should be looking in a hurry

spicer played forward during the Carolina Challenge Cup and I know Armstrong has played up top too. but if they guy Mr. O mentions ends up staying, he will give us a good target guy for Yoshi's crosses

I'd like to see Bermudez in the defensive mid role. you seem pretty familiar with him from the olympic team, do you think he would fit into the role?

Well I pretty familiar with all the cuban players, I been follow the Cuban National Championship for a wile I also a contributor (I don't know if I spelled right) for Cuba in www.playerhistory.com. I my opinion he can play that defensive midfilder right in from of the central defenders

    good enough for me.

Im glad he can play multiple positions, while I think players excell when playing one position. In the USL, with a limited roster, a player that is comfortable in a couple positions will do well.

I went to the Battery v Coastal Carolina scrimmage wednesday night at blackbaud and there was a few notable things that Im about to mention but first the Battery did beat Coastal Carolina 2 0.

    1. O'Brian Woodbine was in crutches, looked like an ankle injury
    2. Tyler Hemming had some ice on his shoulder, was in pain as I could see
    3. Tsuyoshi Yoshitake corner kicks and crosses are getting better and
better. He had a lot of great moves to get through the defense. Im
expecting big things out of him.
    4. The defense of Matt Bobo, Frankie Sanfilippo, Johnny Wilson and
Nelson Akwari were solid as hell. They looked great as a unit.
    5. Keith Wiggans was the goalkeeper for the whole scrimmage, didnt
really have to make a difficult save the whole night.
    6. There were only 16 players for the Battery.
    7. Dusty Hudock was the only player who did not see action.

I dont think so. They had a really small roster for the scrimmage. He may have been there though.

Who was the #10 guy, Mikey asked about? Woodbine was on crutches Wednesday a week a go.
