1st legs in the books, Sebastian and Haiti beat Grenada on the road 3-1 and Quinton and Antigua defeat Guatemala at home 1-0
2nd legs tonight but I can't find any place on Dish where they're being streamed......and I've never had any luck with the bootleg streams from virus/malware riddled sites in Indonesia. EDIT: Ok, I'll give it 1 more shot. Looks like beIN Sports says they are live streaming, since they showed some of the matches last week on real TV, maybe they'll come through with some streaming. Says they validate your cable provider.....looks promising. Some U21's play in about 30 minutes, I'll give it a test drive. http://www.livesoccertv.com/channels/bein-sport-play/
Looks like beIN streaming is alive and well. After they verify you actually pay for cable, you have to register with them and there site has a lot going on so you have to roam around a bit but I eventually got into the U-21 Brazil vs France match and the quality and was good. Looks like I'll be visiting Haiti and Guatemala tonight......better get some more beers. Haiti plays at 7 and Antigua at 10 pm.
Good quality feed from Haiti just can't hook up my laptop to the big screen, doesn't like the HDMI hookup, Seba starts.
2-0 Haiti at the half, On the 2nd goal, Seba got the takeaway at midfield and started the attack, he and the Battery got a mention from the announcers.
Q and Antigua are going to have their hands full in Guatemala with only a slim 1-0 lead, that's a tough place to play for anyone. Starts in about 15 minutes.
10' in, no score but Antigua having a hard time even crossing the midfield, you feel a Guatemalan goal is coming. Massive stadium with a big track, hard to tell how many people are there, lots of empty seats on the side facing the camera.
sorry took awhile to respond, the feed started tracking backwards towards KO, started over with the anthems and everything, then popped back to real time. Weird.
Also watching the Jamaica Nicaragua match, that one's tight, Jamaica is ahead 1-0 tonight, tied 3-3 aggregate but Nicaragua holds the away goal tiebreaker, about in the 53'
Good Lord are Antigua lucky, Guatemalan player was 2 yards out with the GK on the ground and he duffs it wide. Still no score, 43'. No change in Jamaica match, still 3-3 aggregate, 60'
Halftime in Guatemala, camera showed the stands with some food vendors, 1 guy making what looked like quesadillas, another with a clear baggy/wrapper with french fry looking things and another guy with a tray of all kinds of shit falling off of it. Love the street food in the stands.....
2nd half underway and Guatemala still searching to hit the broad side of a barn, Jamaica getting desperate in the 85' for a goal or their dream is over.
Antigua officially parking now into a 5-3-1-1, Q's playing a center back role. Guatemala misses another sitter.
Guatemala scores off a corner but correctly called back for offside. Whew.....you can just feel that they are eventually going to break thru. Even if they score, it'll still be tied in aggregate.
Guatemala hits the crossbar again. Jamaica is at FT, they go through 2-0 tonight and 4-3 aggregate. For Nicaragua, they set an attendance record for the largest crowd to ever see a soccer game in their baseball loving country, 18,000+. They also set a record for gate ticket sales at $140,000.
And now they got the inevitable 2nd goal in the 73'. Antigua just hasn't had any offense all night, even when they went down, they stayed in their shell and were just getting pounded. If you're going to go out, at least put up a fight, give it to your speediest player and let them take it into the box, anything can happen. Still have 15' plus injury time, we'll see.
