Goodbye, Rome. Hello, Milan. Gabriel Batistuta has a new team, joining Inter Milan on loan from AS Roma, a bitter Serie A rival. The Argentinian will take the place of compatriot Hernan Crespo, who is expected to be out until April after tearing ligaments in his thigh. Batistuta said he "was no longer accepted by the fans" in Rome, but that he wouldn't have left for any team other than Inter, which is tied with Lazio and trails leader AC Milan by three points.
