Well looks like he is fit again after 3 weeks out but will not play against Hertha Berlin... he might be on the subs bench. Please oh please stop the injuries!!! Anways here's a thread for Sebastian's never ending injuries
Basti Very funny. I think Bayern have wasted their money on this player. Fantastic football talent, however he has glass legs...
Basti And then he will pick up another knock in 2-3 games. Don't get me wrong, I am a fanatic for FCB and a fan of Deisler, however this is starting to look like Scholl all over again (both for club and country).
American player that once rumored to heading to Liverpool and several other English clubs; scored some crucial goals to help the US qualify for the World Cup in 02. He played for Chicago, he's now on Kansas City. This season, he's missed games due to five different injuries. Every season, he's missed large portions due to injury.
Deisler is rated at 50-50 chance to play against Lyon. He is able to go jogging today. Excape Goat I think you are right
I was not too happy.... I was looking fiorward to see him in action. I missed the game against Kaiserlautern.
You probably will get to see him this weekend against Dortmund. Both Deisler and Ze Roberto were able to train fully on Saturday. The countdown starts again...
He was subsituted during the Bayern-Dortmund match and looked to be limping. OHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I hope it's not serious because he played very well setting up the first 2 goals
If you understand a little german you can head over to www.sport1.de and watch the press conference inwhich Hoeness confirms Deisler is undergoing treatment for depression. The article in soccerage is true saying Deisler will not play for Bayern for the rest of the year (ending December). There is also a short clip of Deisler's neverending injury problems where sad music is accompaning some commentary
I would be depressed too, having all the talent in the world and never being able to play more then two games in a row without another injury. Bayern has loads of these players--Scholl (who probably would have been amongst Germany's top ten players of all time had he been able to stay healthy; Zickler (who cares); Santa Cruz (too bad). Imagine the spending power if these guys weren't on the payroll. I was against spending the money on Makaay, but he has kept Bayern alive all by himself, so he's been worth every single Euro. Throw in Kuffour who always want to leave (AS Roma would sign him, but he'd never get paid) and buy two worldclass defenders buy off-loading those four players. After that, maybe adding Tevez might make sense. One may argue successfully that no club wants to buy injured players--my argument is that their salaries, currently paid by Bayern, are enough to feed a third-world nation. I'm a Santa Cruz fan, but from a business perspective it doesn't make sense. Not with a player like Pizarro on the bench, and Misimovic and Guerrero in the wings.
Good news, Hoeness has stated that Deisler will most probably start light training beginning of January but has not specified a time for full training. Hopefully he'll be back for Madrid-Bayern.
He's been injured since early this year and will supposedly be back in a few weeks...so...what was the point of bumping this thread?
I can't wait for Deisler to come back. And i'm praying to the dear Lord of Football that he will be able to stay healthy and finaly showd what he is made of. I believe he still has time to show everyone that he can be pure worldclass
