new baseball article http://dcunitedstadium.com/press.html#last chance first article in list. #1 Stunna
Sounds like a whole bunch of the same old whiny crap. I mean honestly, residents of the district, couldn't 200 million plus be better spent on beautification and schools than on a stupid baseball team? They write those numbers like there is no cost attached. Pathetic.
### MODERATOR'S NOTE ### First, this is Washington Post article. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A54473-2003Mar30.html Second, I'm seriously thinking about starting an official baseball in DC and NoVA thread to consolidate this kind of discussion. I simply don't think every single baseball moving to DC article deserves its own thread on the DC United board. Third, I fixed the top link and gave the thread a more descriptive title.
Re: new baseball article Some of us come to this forum attempting read a little about practices, roster moves, etc., yet it seems like every day the board is clogged with yet another "Baseball to DC" thread. Now I understand that this issue impacts DCU, but is it really necessary to have a new thread started every time a new article appears regarding baseball? If so, then this board is going to be intolerable over the next six months, because there will be a lot of articles as baseball determines what to do with the Expos. How about if a permanent "Baseball to DC" thread is established and people just keep the discussion on that thread? Look at all the redundant threads started in just the last two weeks: https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=40204 (March 24) https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=39453 (March 19) https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=40909 (March 27) https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=39947 (March 21) https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=39952 (March 21)
Does this thread belong here or the MLS expansion and stadium forum? (maybe it could live there and be linked to the DC forum?) I'm just throwing this out. K
