After watching coverage of the MLS Super Draft Mo Johnston has dropped two unmistakeable hints that he will be stealing Barry Ferguson from Rangers very soon. He didnt say who but in one broadcast he said he was close to signing a Scottish International and in a different interview today he said the player of intrest was an International Player and he was the Captain of his team... Draw your own conlcusions.
Is he still under contract with Rangers? And when Mo mentioned the 'international, captain of his country' I was under the impression that he was speaking about a younger player. Always fun to speculate though.
hey guys, maybe its john terry??? lol but wouldn't that be nice? any international help would be greatly appreciated!
I've heard that recently on SportsWorld he hinted strongly at signing a Rangers player. ...Just to add to this.
You never know. You'd think with McCoist and Smith coming in they would keep him, though it would probably be wiser to try to get as much as they could for him now, and rebuild. With Mo and Barry .... celtic/torontofc fans will have to figure out what to do.
do you think that it would be furgeson after the fired le guen? to me, it seems as though things may be even stronger with rangers and ferguson now that le guen is gone. makes sense no? if they kept le guen on, it would make more sense that ferguson (may) consider canada.
i agree totally, if PLG was still in charge then perhaps. But they haven't given him the captancy back and it seems like David Murray was not happy with him for his role in the whole affair. That being said rangers are bringing in "rangers men" to rescue the club , Barry would fit right in. Although I saw his comments on the score. Looks like he caught james sharmon off guard. Sharmon just asked "can you tell me who it is?" and Mo said no
Sorry we don't the poor excuse of a footballer here in Toronto, we want TEAM players not one who looks after his own interests......Just in case Barry reads this..............17 points back!!!!Come on the Hoops!!!!
On www.torontomls.blogspot.com they are calling for a move for a lesser known player. Fergusons contract is said to be worth $20,000 per week way too much for MLS standards (excluding Becks of course)
Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment have more than enough money to cough up for a star player or two. It's all about the merchandising.
