Attendance: 8,798 Looking only at the result, you would probably think that AGF was outplayed in this match, but the fact is that when AaB scored the 1-0 goal with only five minutes left of the 1st half, the stats showed that AGF had 7 shots on goal and AaB only the 1 shot !... The truth is that AGF had all the play and ball possession, outplaying AaB throughout the 1st half and most of the 2nd half as well. However, against all logic it was AaB who won the match by scoring on almost all their opportunities. In this match AGF coach Soren Åkeby used Stig Tøfting like a attacking midfielder, also using defender Leon Andreasen in midfield... a brilliant move that worked very well, and even with Leon scoring a goal...The AGF midfield looked almost terrifying, holding AaB in an iron grip... so how did AGF lose this match ?...Was it the result of poor defending by AGF (and Barrett)??... well, only giving away 5 opportunities in an away match, is hardly poor defending, but it's a fact that AaB did score 4 goals having only 5 opportunities... It seems like AGF simply is struck by some strange "curse" at the moment... Even thou all Danish football experts agree that this is the best AGF team in 10 years, the team has only managed to get one single draw in 5 games after the winter break.... AGF are dominating their matches, playing an attacking kind of game, but hardly scoring any goals, and making a few stupid mistakes in defence as well... and to add to the misery, the team dont have any strikers at the moment, since they all are injured...The highly rated Icelandic international Helgi Sigurdsson, has only been able to play 20 minutes since he was signed 3½ month ago ... and one of the bigest talents in Danish football Morten "Duncan" Rasmussen, may be out for the rest of the season with a serious knee-injury + the fact that 3rd striker Tom Christensen (Mr. "glass-legs") hardly ever play more than 1 match in a row without getting injured... (only 7 games so far this season !)... .
