That was one of the funniest articles I have seen. Taking a big standing ovation.

    somewhat off-topic

Hey sorry for posting this here but its somewhat related. My question is what do I need to do to actually join the Barra. I came up and hung out with you guys for the New england game and when my schedule permits Id like to do so more often. However, as much fun as mooching free beer was, I figure I ought to pay up if Im going to be a regular. I've tried to do so through the internet site and had no response. Can I just show and work something out?

Bring CHICO13 a bottle of Captain Morgans Private Stock and you're as good as in.

You're right Chico. We want booze and things you can light or shoot holes in things with!

Hey man! The first barra lesson I suggest is ignoring the drunk guys :D

--Signing up online is still in the "test" phase so right now your safer just coming to the tailgate, hanging out with us. Then when you go to the Barra window to buy your ticket (preferably a bit early for this) tell the person in the booth that you would like to sign up. They should be able to take care of you right there. If you have any questions you can PM me or just ask for Owen, Begbie, Chico, or Oscar at the tailgate. We can help you out.

    Hope to see you there!

    Rock on!

He told me that since the stadium insisted on us drinking beer that tastes like piss, we should drink it in the proper "container." (btw, this new fad also has some unforseen side effects... )

--You can toss your "cup" in the air and not get beaten for it.

--in addition to that, if you keep it sealed you can actually pick it up after a goal and keep drinking.

--But the best part is, whenever you hold it up in the air, Salvadorians immediately think your one of them!!! Whooo hooo!! :D

I'm not too worried about the drunk guys-the trick is usually distinguishing me from them.
    Chico-
I don't know about the Capt Morgan's but if you can come up with a liquor that doesnt taste like piss (IMHO) I'd be happy to split a fifth with you.

My current plan is to try an make the game agaist Metrosuck but I'll definitly be there on the 19th

Hmmmm, not quite sure you're Barra material. ;)

FYI.....Captain Morgans is THE OFFICIAL sponsor of La Barra Brava.

i have seen several bottles of jamesons disappear the past few weeks at the tailgate. there is also usually a bourbon bottle making the rounds. in addition to the keg many, many people coolers of beer, bottles of "the hard stuff" and other potent potables.
