February 25th, 7:45pm-9:00pm Ice Skating at Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Ballston Public ADULT ONLY Session - Ice opens at 8:00pm. Located atop Ballston Mall 627 N. Glebe, Suite 800 Arlington, VA 22203 Pay at the gate. Be there by 7:45 to get the group rate. Admission for groups of at least 10: $8.00 per person (includes skate rental). Regular Admission: $8 plus $3 skate rental $1 to park in the Ballston Mall Parking Deck after 6:00pm Drinking starts around 9:00 at the bars downstairs.

18 to skate... It might be 16. It's the Rinks rules, not mine. 21 to go to the bar afterwards... which we still need to decide. There's several good place to go around there. I have no preference. An all ages session can definitely be arranged in the future. If this goes well, it'll be worth looking into.

I will probably make it for a bit of skating, but not for the bars afterward. I have language training every morning at 7:40am
The bars part is up in the air for me. I'm giong to play that by ear. I wish I worked closer, then I'd totally be up for dinner in Ballston first. FYI, I forgot to bring my phone with me today and I'm not going to be able to go home to retrieve it before tonight. That means no messages, text or otherwise, will get through. However, I will be checking Facebook and BigSoccer before I leave work. We have about 10 confirmed folks and 25 maybes +guests. Get there by 7:45 if you want to save the $3 skate rental fee. Bring your cameras!
Just a heads up, they don't allow cameras ON the ice. I'm sure you can sneak a few pics in though. The skate guards will just tell you to put it away. Of course you can always stand on the hockey bench and snap shots. Just not while on the ice. I hope I can make this. I have to work pretty late, so it will be a game time decision.
i was one of those maybe's, but someone went all nancy kerrigan on my ankle at soccer practice, so there's no way i'm putting on skates now!
