lets say you are not at a barra event-somewhere in public, and you spot a fellow member, is there a greeting to identify yourself to them? ie, i was at total beverage and there was a guy going to a game. he had on his jersey. i did not, thus i was not visually identifiable to him and i did not recognize him from our vast membership or if you are at a light and a car pulls up with a barra sticker. people shout 'OH' when they pull up to our car that has ohio state stickers on it. do i shout 'vamos united' or something? what about a barra hand gesture or is that too gang style like my old hs students
Yell hijo de Poota, if he doesn't jump kick him in the nuts. Actually I've run into some Barra I don't know before (and I thought I knew just about everyone in the Barra). I just simply ask, Barra? Next thing I know we're tossing back double Jack and cokes.
I saw a couple of Barras at Kroger the other day and said, "yeah Barra Brava!". I was trying to think of a cheer to shout at them, but since I couldn't decide fast enough, that's what they got. I believe I've also used "vamos United" as a greeting.
"didn't I see you sliding across a concrete floor with paper towels the other day?" I think vamos united says enough actually.
That would work too or..."Didn't you medal in the Concourse Special Olympics?" or even, "Hey didn't you throw up after eating from the Box 'o' Fish?"
it is also funny to see people in their civilian clothes. i only know most people in their jerseys and match outfits -hats, face paint etc
thats how chico really injured his arm, he has jack and coke elbow too much tendon stress from tossing them back
I use Vamos United. Actually used it when I ran into Justin aka Pan-T Clause at Target a few months ago!
When I was at Rock the Bells I saw a whole group of Barra and stumbled over in my drunken state to say hey. Every time I see a car with a DCU decal I always want to speed up and get next to 'em
