More info forthcoming from El Jefe but in the meantime:

As many of you know Peroni has been involved with and supporting the beautiful game for many years

For those who enjoyed the free and discounted Peroni at the offseason bash there is more coming

Over the course of the next few games we'll be adding more items starting with:

The Barra will be receiving several free kegs and we can expect to have one or more of this fine beverage at each tailgate.

Look for the Peroni Keg stand adjacent to our halftime drum circle

There will also be specials at Molly Malones ( the new Finns once Pauly tells us they are open )

We will also be identifying stores where Barra members can purchase kegs and bottles at a discount for the tailgates as well as a dozen + other brands in the family (miller, Blue moon ,etc...)

Peroni will also work with us to help support our major fundraising events.

Expect some banners and other items to start appearing throughout the summer.

As with all the businesses that help make the Barra the Gold, (Platinum, & diamond) standard for supporters groups in the US keep them in mind.

Vamos United Vamos La Barra Brava!!!

Now if only we could get Peroni served at the Baltimore Tattoo museum:D

While appreciative of free beer and effort...

I don't give a shit who "sponsors" the Barra.

Let's just make sure it shows up on time and when expected.

(It also wouldn't hurt if they provided a few extra taps... These Euro beers always require something thta resembles a NASA Mars lander only less sturdy and more prone to failure.) :D

We were wondering what was up with all the Peroni banners at the pre-season bash.

Carlo will be excited that an Italian beer is sponsoring the Barra. :D

I had three at the bash, first one was awful amazing how easily they went down after that. I guess that is how and why I drink the High Life, Now that would be an excelent sponsor. and it tastes even better from the tap. Either way it is still awesome, I always say there two types of beer in this world free, and the High Life. Free beer taste good no matter how bad it really is, that being said thanks for the update and thanks to Peroni.

It's a light beer, and when it's cold it's perfectly refreshing. When it's free and cold, it's awesome.

But these days Moretti is brewed by Heineken, and they sold the brewery in Udine...so what's a paesan to drink (other than lots and lots of delicious red wine, of course)?

I support this opinion. Menabrea is in fact the best Italian beer.

    Menabrea 1846

The Birra Menabrea 1846 lager is brewed using light barley malts and maize, for a light, crisp lager style. A special, proprietary yeast strain, and a more significant amount of hops than is usual for a lager beer add to the aromatic complexity of the beer. This, combined with a fairly high alcohol level, makes for a very full and flavorful, yet still refreshing lager. The Birra Menabrea 1846 has been awarded the “Best Pale Lager”
Gold Medal at the World Beer Championships in Chicago three times, in 1997, 1998, and 2000.;)

And hell no, I am not bringing a keg... :)
