Comes to mind that we havent ever done anything for our members to honor birthdays. I wonder if this is something we would like to do...yet another reason to turn up the tailgates another notch

    Great idea! I'll bake cupcakes!

Oh wait ... I'm not actually part of Barra Brava. And I don't live near D.C.

Well, Duffman was working on a Calender but I'm sure his plate is full right now. I've had my birthday celebrated at a tailgate before and had to check myself into Betty Ford for a week of detox afterwords.

ps...Sarah, if you want to be a Barra member...you are. If you officially want to join, PM me and I'll tell you what it entails. Let me check with Oscar to make sure we still have jerseys. We have members in England, Ireland, Bolivia, Argentina and all over the USA. You just have to promise to try hard and make at least ONE home game. :)

All you have to do is send Oscar $15 or is it $20 I can't remember (usually too drunk) and he'll send you a jersey some day. ;-)

To address Mike's question, yeah we should do something, Goose can put on a fireworks display, Srdan can make a banner, and the rest of us will toast the lucky Barra member.

I turned 32 on June 21. It's another year later in life and they say it's too late to do some things - but it's funny, I don't feel tardy.

I promise I'll stop hijacking this thread soon. Really.

Thanks, Chico. :) I'll give you a shout.

Oh, and I'm working on the home game thang ... unfortunately, it probably won't be until next season.

    <laughs>

I spent all my spare pennies making it to the game in Columbus. Time to start saving again. If I win the lottery, I promise I'll come to a home game this season. ;)

I have a sneaking suspicion that a pair of identical twins have their birthday coming up in July.

    ;)

Mine was in May. Thanks for thinking about this then. :)

Mine is March 22nd (National Goof Off Day-of course)
So if everyone is cool with it we could celebrate mine on opening day. :D

I have it on good authority that a certain Barra member named Bison turns 30 this week. I also have it on good authority that he enjoys beer, liquor and fine women. Time for a birthday barra style.

I really don't care one way or the other about celebrating my getting older.

As for the Barra making a deal of birthdays in general, most tailgates are better than birthday parties anyways.

From the last several posts, it's clear that August is the cool month.
