Its been 2 weeks since i posted the deco quaresma swap and it happened.
Now it appears that baros has agreed to sign a 4 year deal at the nou camp
The only problem is barca and liverpool must agree on a fee.

    Great buy for Barca
too bad club management went ahead and bought deco---WASTE

It's not. According to Planetfootball.com Liverpool want too much for Baros. Laporta won't spend that much.

I'd rather us get Eto'o. The Eto'o move to Atletico isn't guaranteed, because Eto'o has to agree and he wants to come to Barca. Eto'o I believe has 1 year left. Once the contract expires, the Dual Ownership does as well..

Ya so what Laporta likes to do, is instead of talking to the club like a professional, he goes right to the player like a snivelling weasel. I've noticed this is how Barcelona usually conducts is business these days which I admit I'm not very impressed by.

It`s quite shocking to read your reactions to this great news guys. Instead of screams of jubilation all I hear is whining about Etoo. Now I didn`t see almost any Mallorca games last season so I dare not judge the Cameroonian but in the African Nations Cup Etoo was PISS POOR, and a player who is nullified from the game by Burkina Faso defense doesn`t seem like a suitable player for the greatest club. C`mon, Real Madrid don`t want him. And you suggest that we should sign a Real reject? I hope the club won`t humiliate itself like that. We can`t afford two waste signings in preseason. We got Deco, let`s pray to God that it works out, but taking two huge gambles would be too much, especially since we can sign a great striker for a smaller fee than Etoo, MB15. Etoo will score something like 8 goals next season, regardless of who he plays for, mark my words. Maybe we can sign Etoo next season, as a cover for the cover striker, whoever the cover striker will be.

Eto'o is a better player than Baros, no question, and I think Baros is good. And maybe a more interesting team player. But Samuel can be amazing. Only thing he needs a bit of room to do well, as he's fast and changes speed well, but in tight is less consequent. If you haven't seen him play in the league then you should shut up, since he was one of the most electric players out there last year.

Evaluating Eto'o on that tournament is about as valid as evaluating Baros on the basis of the Eurocup. Neither was a correct indication of the player's real level.

Plus the fact that he's been scoring some 17 goals/season...so i don't know how u'r gonna get your 8/season figure...

well I don`t see any reason why you should evaluate Baros on the basis of Euro2004, try evaluating him on the basis of his national team stats (which are more relevant than his club stats since he has fallen out with his manager at Liverpool)- 24goals/33matches+in more than half of the international fixtures he came on as a sub around 60th minute. Now what about that? Etoo is nowhere near, and he plays for Cameroon who usually face countries like Zimbabwe or Burkina Faso in their World Cup qualifying campaign...Etoo may have scored 17 goals in La Liga but at Mallorca he`s the only star player and gets all the balls passed to him to say it in a simple manner. And one last thing-I have never seen Baros lack the "drive" needed by a striker even during the difficult times at Liverpool, however I`ve seen Etoo play games in which he looked like he hated football and did everything not to get the ball at his feet.

P.S. I don`t know where y`all get the 25mil for Baros figure. It`s more like 12-15mil according to the player`s agent.

And Real won`t let Etoo sign for us anyway so all this talk is rubbish. And as to the Mista thing...ehm, he isn`t quite in the same league with the other two.

Sorry but Baros deal is not happening according to the reports. But you all should go after eto'o really in truth. Just because he is a Real reject does not mean anything . Remember a certain Luis Enrique? PS . ( I might seem friendly but I hate your club with a passion)
