Barcelona v Real Madrid Some Shit Estadio Saturday April 2nd, 11.30 PT Its Clasico time. Cules are on a 39 game undefeated run and we haven't beaten them straight after a NT break since 2ooo. They do have all 3 of their trident traveling a lot this week while 2 of our front 3 rested and trained. They've shown in the past that their players bounce back from fatigue and traveling very easily. Their PED regimen must be top of the class.... errrrr.. i mean their training regimen. Barring any injuries in the coming days we will have a strong squad to pick from. It can be said that this game is more important to us than the Culeros. Zidane's first Clasico as manager and one of his "big tests". Kroos and Ronnie who will be starters have had good NT games while James has also had a good time with his NT away from the unloving, big bad Madrid clubhouse. Vasquez could have a big impact on the game coming off the bench as he has been one of our better players recently. We know they've been beating us regularly and this season has been a shit show so far but nothing will change the mood around the club than a victory against the scum. So get your anticule scarves out and lets kick some ass. Because we're REAL MADRID damn it!!!! We don't fear anyone. WE put the fear in everyone. HALA MADRID
I would be happy with even a 1-0 win, what's important is playing well and building upon the past few good games.
The only prize in this one is pride for the white shirt, but that should always be enough motivation. Stomp on them.
They aim for a big win to honor Johan Cruyff. -ZZ- & Co's mission is to go in there to spoil the party.
Casemiro has been rested, Kroos is coming off back to back games where he has scored while playing more advanced, and Modric is Modric. Hope they show out this weekend.
Real Madrid is reaching the 6 odds... dont even remember last time odds were so high for Rm win, even on away games agaisnt cules.. anyway, even a tie wouldnt be bad, la liga is over, but i cant stand losing to Barcelona, so lets build something from this game!
A win here would show that we are true contenders for the CL. A bad loss pretty much shows that we have no shot
I don't agree with this. Anything can happen in any game. It depends on the players... and when playing Barcelona, it also depends on the refs.
Well you know the refs will side with them. 2 bad losses to Barcelona plus our struggles against most good teams would deservedly make us massive underdogs. Sure anything can happen, but we need this game to prove ourselves imo
We have the attack to make something good happen this weekend. If everyone delivers an A performance I don't see why we would't be able to beat them.
If everyone on the pitch (including Barca) delivers an A performance, I believe it will end in a win for us. However, we always have players delivering F performances when it matters most...
I don't particularly, another square peg in a round hole, if we are to be successful, our front three will have to be the first line of defense when we do not have the ball, just that alone will be a big help to this team, it's been discussed to death, but it is crucial against good ball playing teams like Farca who like to play out from the back, they still don't do it enough and in games like these we need it for 90 mins not 20, move the ball quickly going forward, movement off the ball take our chances when we get them, and defend stoutly and smartly as a team not just the 4 guys at the back. I really really hope we can win this.
I can't remember when was the last time I wasn't that excited, or even nervous about an upcoming Clasico. It's not just our shitty season but the fact that win, draw or lose we have only CL to play for, and even in that competition our chances aren't that high considering how we struggled against almost every decent team so far. Anyway I hate to lose even a friendly game to these scums but -whatever the outcome of this match may be- I'll be interested to see how some of our players do against the top team in Europe at the moment, especially the ones who may play a key role in the rest of this season and possibly next ones (Casemiro, Kroos in advanced position, Bale in hot form, a 30-years old Ramos= finally a mature one? BBC's collective work vs. tough team...etc).
Anything is better than November's last clasico. I'm still disgusted at how lazy everyone was that game. We truly bat ourselves that night rather than Barca. Hopefully the players don't have that type of attitude while playing for Zizou.
That game was all us hitting the self-destruct button. What a ridiculous game. Even with such terrible attitude we had like four 100% chances...
